Complementary feed to support the liver
HUMARIS® is a complementary feed based on the primary ingredient silymarin, the active ingredient in milk thistle that protects and supports the liver (=hepatoprotective). To improve its bioavailability, silymarin is combined with humic acids WH67® and subsequently embedded in fat using NutriShield® technology. This enhances the functional properties and the effectiveness of milk thistle.

The positive functions of HUMARIS®
The hepatoprotective properties of milk thistle result not only from antioxidant and liver-soothing mechanisms but also from reductions to the extent of tissue changes. The toxin barrier of the liver cells is also increased and protein biosynthesis is stimulated. Consequently, the phospholipid membranes of the liver cells are stabilised and the formation of cellular synthesis products is stimulated. This can increase the liver cells’ efforts to regenerate and detoxify.

Special production
method
The active substances in milk thistle have a naturally low bioavailability and can therefore only be absorbed and utilised by the body to a limited extent. Through our partner BEWITAL agri’s NutriShield® manufacturing process, the active ingredients are combined with humic acids WH67® to enhance bioavailability and are subsequently embedded in fat. This protects the active ingredients from degradation in the stomach and rumen. This gives HUMAIRS® its special status in terms of functionality and efficiency.

The milk yield is increased and incidents of mastitis are reduced
As part of a scientific study under practical conditions, test cows received a daily supplement of 4 g HUMARIS® in their milk production feed over a period of 8 months. The milk yield, milk quality and health parameters were then recorded.
The following results were obtained:
+ Increase in milk volume of 1.6 kg up to the 150th day of lactation
+ Significantly better performance peak
+ Milk yield was 0.3 kg higher on average
+ Incidences of mastitis reduced by up to 70%
+ Reduction in cell counts, in some cases significantly lower
